The preferred name for a client is the name that they go by. For instance 'Robert' may go by 'Rob'. In most cases, this will simply be the same as the clients first name. This field will be used in the greeting for client messages and notifications. For instance, it would be 'Hi Rob' instead of 'Hi Robert'.
